The Grand Bahama Development Company (Devco) is currently master planning and developing entry level and middle income housing projects within the Freeport area as well as selling land for residential and commercial development to Government, local and foreign investors. Several master planned communities are currently under construction with lot and home packages ranging from $80,000 and upwards.
The official currency is the Bahamian dollar (B$) and it is on par with the US dollar. Both are used interchangeably.
